AP Newsfinder Member Testimonials

In preparation of these pages to support the NNPA Webcast effort it seemed it might be interesting for NNPA members and non-members alike to read what some of the Black Press members of AP Newsfinder have to say about us.

Please peruse the testimonials below from members of the Black Press.

I have placed The Louisiana Weekly testimonial first out of respect for the predicament in which they find themselves. I remember back in 1989 when hurricane Hugo damaged Jim French's paper, The (Charleston) Chronicle.

I also remember being at the NNPA convention the January following Hugo's devastation, and how all the members pulled together and raised money to help Jim. Jim's paper has been a Newsfinder member since 1998.

The Louisiana Weekly

Newsfinder has definitely been instrumental in The Louisiana Weekly providing "News that Matters" to our readers over the years.

It has also been our life support since Hurricane Katrina exposed the poorly constructed levees in New Orleans which resulted in our beautiful city being deluged with flood waters, disrupting how we all in the Crescent City live and do business.

With our employees scattered throughout the country, Newsfinder has allowed this 80+-year-old paper, both with news stories and photo images,  to continue to keep its doors open.

New Pittsburgh Courier

Newsfinder is an invaluable news resource that helps us keep our readers informed of local, national and international news. We have applauded the upgrades to the service that make it easier to retrieve the vast categories of news content available.

And friendly, courteous tech support is always a simple toll free phone call away.

Louisville Defender Newspaper

"Newsfinder has allowed our newspaper to compete on a local level with the daily newspaper. When our reporters and/or photographers can not be there, Newsfinder is there. With the wide variety of stories, not just locally, we can choose stories that do not run in the daily newspaper, thereby giving readers the reason to read both our newspaper along with the daily. Adding Newsfinder membership  to the NNPA News Service gives us total coverage.

The service is easy to access and the technical support is second to none. The Newsfinder staff makes sure our membership is a professional and delightful experience.

The fee for the service is very reasonably and senior management works with its loyal members to insure continued access with financial understanding.

The Dallas Examiner

As a small African American publication, we face many challenges. We
understand the need to remain a credible voice while providing relevant
news coverage to our niche market.

Without Newsfinder, we could never expect to do this within our limited budget. Newsfinder has empowered us..."
